This project was part of an Artist in Residence program at the S.A.R. High School, where I also mentored 10 S.A.R. students while working on these mural panels. Part of the students tasks were to assist me on this mural installation. This enabled students to master new art techniques to use as individual artists, as well as learn how to work together as a group.

Each of the 7 large "amulet" panels represent a day in the Creation of the World. Each of the painting’s luminous colors and intricate outlines evoke a jewel-like talisman, and the panels provide a bright contrast for the dark walls without overwhelming the space.

Commissioned by the S.A.R. High School in Riverdale, NY.

Project supervision,  David Friedman, Program Co-ordinator at S.A.R.

This mural project, “7 Days”, consists of 7 individual, large panels that I painted at S.A.R.’s painting studio. The panels were then installed on 2 walls in the main ground floor hall of the school.
